Geology Stop-motionIn this cross-curriculum lesson students explore digital media in creating a stop-motion video. Students are posed with the challenge of designing a project that creates visual understanding of a science topic chosen by their geology teacher. This group project encourages students to practice collaboration with their peers and enforces students to exercise communication between multiple teachers.
In this lesson students practice creating cross contour lines to design a disco ball. Students exercise color mixing to match provided color palettes to create tints and shades. This lesson allows students to have autonomy in their individual learning, by meeting students where they are at skillswise with providing a variety of disco balls to choose from for their reference photo.
