2-D Rooms w/ Pop Out Object

In this lesson, students are inspired by 2-D Restaurants to create their own 2-D room or environment using a variety of lines and line weight. This lesson is a great project for the start of the year where students can choose their own room/environment and share with their peers why it is of importance to them.

HILMA AF KLINT ABSTRACT ART

In this lesson, students are inspired by Hilma af Klint’s abstract artworks. Students will practice viewing and interpreting abstract art, inspiring them to create abstract posters. This lesson is an engaging way to introduce students to abstractism.

Rug Weave

In this lesson, students are inspired by Faig Ahmed’s woven rugs. Students will create their own rugs by weaving yarn onto a circle or square loom of their choice. This lesson is a great way for students to be introduced to fiber arts.
